CSSL represents Sri Lankan surgeons, promoting surgical training, professional development, collaboration, and accreditation across multiple specialties through chapters and affiliated societies.
The College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka (CSSL) is the premier professional body representing the interests of all Fellows, regardless of their surgical specialty.
CSSL is dedicated to advancing the art and science of surgery by providing continuous professional development, surgical training, and postgraduate accreditation for surgeons in Sri Lanka. The College encompasses a wide range of surgical disciplines. Its membership includes specialists in fields such as General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Paediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology, and Vascular Surgery, among others.
To foster collaboration and address specific regional and demographic needs, the College also oversees a number of special interest and regional chapters. These include Provincial Chapters across the island, as well as dedicated surgical interest groups such as the Women in Surgery Chapter, which supports and promotes the role of female surgeons.
