The Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program run by The College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka (CSSL) is a standardized, globally recognized training curriculum designed to train healthcare professionals in the swift assessment and systematic management of acute trauma patients. Accredited by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), CSSL acts as the premier official provider of this high-intensity course in Sri Lanka.

Employs a blended learning structure featuring interactive lectures, practical skill stations, triage scenarios, and simulated group trauma cases.
Instructs the ABCDE approach—Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability, and Exposure with practical hands on demonstrations .

Successful candidates receive an official ACS-certified ATLS Provider qualification, which remains valid for 4 years and is recognised worldwide.
